This Indian teak wood chopping board is constructed from a single block of A Grade teak wood. The small, single-block teak board is a raw-edge wooden board. The artisan wooden chopping board features unique grain patterns and serves as a decorative kitchen board. Heavy-duty for chopping yet perfect as a serving tray and kitchen prep board. Reversible, 1 inch thick, warp-resistant, crack-resistant, and long-lasting. The high-density hardwood is knife-friendly and moisture-resistant.

  • Superior A Grade Teak: Crafted from A Grade teak wood, the live-edge teak wood is sustainably sourced. Malabar teak is known for its premium quality and high oil content, making it the perfect wood for chopping boards.
  • Live Edge Design: The artisan wooden chopping board makes a statement serving board. The raw edge, organic shape, and rustic live-edge design combine functionality with the natural appearance of wood.
  • Multipurpose Cutting Board and Serving Board: Use it as a vegetable chopping board, meat cutting board, charcuterie board, or a steak board. This is a perfect, multipurpose, reversible wooden board you can buy.
  • Thick, Durable, and Knife-Friendly: The one-inch thickness makes this board durable. The high density of the hardwood and the moisture resistance of the wood make the board warp-resistant, crack-resistant, and very durable.
  • Easy to Care: The board is hand-wash only. Oil the board once a week and apply beeswax once a month for a polished, new look. The natural wood oil in the teak board requires minimal maintenance, but you can always improve the appearance with regular care.
  • Perfect For: This is the best board for luxury kitchens, handcrafted kitchen gifts, or a wedding gift. It matches farmhouse kitchen décor and is a sustainable kitchen product.

Why live edge teak wood chopping boards priced higher?

Most live edge chopping boards are not priced high. They are priced on the size by cubic feet or cubic inch of material. The cost of a live edge cutting board is often lesser unless they are extremely unique and feature clear indication of distinctive patterns. Unlike traditional shaped cutting boards, the demand for live edge chopping boards is often directly related to the uniqueness and how it appeals to your home. This makes it rare, yet not much in demand.

Are live edge round teak wood cutting boards available?

A live edge, round end grain chopping board from teak is rarely available in the market. Teak wood is rare to be found in large size and they are extremely rare to find large end grain live edge boards. Most teak wood is cut into slabs when acquired because they are the most sold and are readily purchased from wood mills. Wood mills rely on movement and cash flow and no wood mill will sell live edge boards in end grain unless you are willing to acquire the entire log. This makes procurement difficult for retailers.

Are live edge boards long lasting

There are no structural flaws in live edge boards and most live edge boards will perform as long as regular rectangular boards and sometimes longer. Since there have been no structural modifications to the wood’s edges, the natural edges tend to hold the wood together better, making it slightly longer lasting. This, of course, depends on the quality of the wood (minimal sapwood).
