Thank you for choosing Amra Farms Chopping Boards. We are a family-owned sustainable farm in Palakkad, Kerala, cultivating rice, mangoes, and coconut as our main crops. We practice sustainable farming with multiple crops and forestry on 40 acres spread across two locations in Palakkad.

Our Chopping Board Project

Our chopping board project focuses on reusing wood from aged trees, which are continuously replaced. With the need to chop aged trees, we found it challenging to use the chopped wood until 2022. With a constant availability of wood, which was either discarded to rot or used as firewood, we required a solution that could enable us to use the wood efficiently. The chopping board project was thus born.

Who We Are

Amra Farms is a family-owned business nestled in the remote village of Kollengode, 25 kilometers from Palakkad, often known for its rice cultivation and referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala. We, as a village, take pride in the fact that our small village has not changed in over 50 years. Over 80% of the residents of Kollengode are farmers, and we take pride in farming and sustainable living. As farmers, we cultivate rice as the predominant crop in the area. At Amra Farms, we have diversified over the years, cultivating fruits, vegetables, and coconuts apart from rice.
