Unique Appearance
The unique teak chopping boards come with stunning teak wood grains that give an exotic look. Handcrafted with luxury in mind, our elegant wooden chopping boards add a distinctive, one-of-a-kind artisanal charm to your kitchen.
Hardwood Quality
Our edge grain chopping boards are long-lasting, scratch-resistant, knife-friendly, and strong. Crafted from durable hardwood of the highest quality, the boards are moisture-resistant, naturally antimicrobial, and heavy-duty. One of the best hardwoods for chopping boards, teak is hard to crack and does not warp easily once aged.
Durability
Made from aged teak wood, our chopping boards are durable and guaranteed to last a decade with proper care and maintenance. Tough on the surface yet soft on your knives, our premium teak wood boards are known to stand the test of time.
Sustainability
Sourced responsibly, our teak wood comes from Amra Farms, a sustainable farm. We make our chopping boards from aged trees that are often too big, mature, and fall naturally. We replant and replace every tree we cut with more to ensure sustainability. All our chopping boards come from trees that are at least 30 years old, some often older than 50.
Natural Beauty
Teak and most hardwoods have their own distinct grain patterns, and the beauty of natural hardwood is incomparable. Each of our teak wood boards is unique, with its own pattern, making a beautiful addition to your home.
Multi-Purpose Use
Double your chopping boards as a serving tray, a trivet, or a charcuterie board. Our double-sided teak chopping boards can be used as a piece of home decor or a large wooden board for food display. A perfect addition as a prop for Instagram food bloggers and influencers, these chopping boards add a distinct effect to your photographs.
Our teak boards are easy to maintain. Use safe washing techniques for wooden boards. Do not soak the wood in water. Prolonged exposure to water results in warping of your boards, and they may split when dried. To remove deep knife marks from teak wood boards, occasionally scrape the surface thoroughly or use sandpaper to sand the surface once every few months. Oil thoroughly after scraping. Product Specifications
Dimensions: 35 X 25 X 2cm
Weight: Note that teak wood is naturally heavy. The thicker the boards, the heavier they get. If you are looking for a lighter chopping board, we suggest that you pick one with a thickness of 1 inch or less. Our boards weigh anywhere between 1 KG and 3 KG, depending on the size and thickness.
Material: 100% teak wood from aged trees. No cuts, no glues, no fillings. Our products are manufactured with quality in mind, and our boards are made of a single block of wood unless mentioned otherwise.
Finish: Natural wood finish. Rich golden brown with dark and light contrasts, stunning long grains.
- Handwash only: Avoid dishwashers. Soaking the board is not recommended. Harsh chemicals are not suitable for teak wood chopping boards.
- Use mild soap and warm water: Use warm water when possible. Do not use harsh chemicals or harsh detergents. A mild, diluted soap is best for wooden chopping boards.
- Disinfect naturally: For a food-safe experience, disinfect with vinegar and water. For deep cleansing, use coarse salt and lemon as a scrub.
- Oil regularly: Oil your boards at least once a week. Let the oil soak in and absorb before wiping your board off thoroughly. This prevents the board from drying and cracking.
- Stain removal: Use a lemon and salt scrub for light stains. For stubborn stains, apply a baking soda paste, leave for 5-10 minutes, and scrub with a soft bristle brush. Rinse immediately.
- Storage: Store away from direct sunlight in a well-ventilated room. Store upright to prevent warping.
- Handling and usage: Use both sides of the board to prevent uneven wear. Avoid excessive force while chopping. To prevent cross-contamination, cut vegetables and meat on separate boards.
- Repair and restoration: Your boards will stay as new if you sand them once every few months. Sand with an 80-120 grade sandpaper. Apply food-grade oil or mineral oil after sanding.
Usage Ideas
- Everyday kitchen use: Use as a chopping and slicing board. Perfect for cutting vegetables, fruits, meat, and bread. You can also use the board as a serving board, pastry and dough prep surface, or a substitute for a butcher block.
- Stylish dining and entertainment: The board is a perfect surface for a charcuterie board, cheese board, sushi and sashimi platter, breakfast tray, or a pizza serving board.
- Kitchen and home decor: The wooden teak board provides a rustic kitchen display or a table centerpiece. Place candles, flowers, or a decorative bowl. When really worn out (which may take more than a decade), use it as a plant stand.
